City Defense
Six Cities, Three Batteries

Missiles fall toward six cities and three batteries, joined later by bombers and smart bombs. You aim with the mouse and fire interceptors that explode where you clicked, taking out anything that passes through the blast. Ammunition is limited, the waves come faster, and a lost city returns only as a bonus city every 10,000 points.
Aiming at Where It Will Be
Your interceptor takes time to fly and then takes more time to bloom. Click on a missile and it has already moved past the point you clicked. You are solving an interception problem: predict the trajectory, decide where the two paths meet, and commit before you can be sure. That is the same calculation a fielder makes running under a fly ball and the same one real missile-defense radar performs. In every case the difficulty is not the arithmetic but the commitment - the decision has to be made early, on a prediction, while the thing you are aiming at is still free to be somewhere else.
How to play
- Move the mouse to aim and click to fire from the nearest battery with ammunition; A, S and D pick the battery.
- One well-placed explosion can take several missiles that share a path.
- Defend the batteries as well as the cities - a battery hit loses its ammunition for the wave.
- Fire ahead of a trail, not at its tip.
